I just did this exercise today when my back pain was acting up again. I have chronic back pain from a car accident I had about 9 years ago. It was really relaxing and I was surprised to see how much my back eased up after doing it. Thanks. I just bookmarked this page so I can try it again.

Hi Shelly,
Thank you for sharing your experience with this meditation. I really like this one and I have had some wonderful success with it myself. Guided meditations have become a favorite self-care practice for me. Enjoy!

Does someone have to believe all of the affirmations in this meditaton in order for it to work? I've had panic attacks for over 7 years now and I really don't trust my body to do anything I want it to do. And I think you're actually supposed to believe in your affirmations in order for them to work right? I did find this very relaxing but it's hard not be skeptical about it all. Thank you though for posting this.

Hi Denise,

You are correct. I think it's more important to focus on remaining "open to the possibility" that these affirmations are true. In the beginning, some of these affirmations can feel like a stretch. I know. I've been there myself. So it might be helpful for you to make an agreement with yourself to stay open to the possibility that they are true for you or can be true for you. Just remaining open to the possibilities that these affirmations hold can bring about a powerful affect for you. I hope this helps. And thank you for sharing your insights. This was a great question.

Diana,
I have listened to this meditation a couple times a week for the past two weeks and I continue to feel so much better afterwards. I feel much less frustrated with my body these days. It's really interesting. Thank you for helping me find some peace I very much needed.

Hi Karisa,

Welcome! And thank you!
