Awakening Your Fearless Self (Audio)

Posted by Diana Bertoldo | Posted in | Posted on 7:16 AM

This is the time of year of year when we all find ourselves contemplating new goals and creating action plans for our success. This is a time when we examine our past, our successes and failures, and dream of greater opportunities in the New Year.

Fear will always be the number one obstacle holding any of us back from living our greatness. And because fear can be so clever in keeping us from what we want most in our lives I've created a visioning meditation to promote a deepened understanding of our relationship with fear and to support us in gently awakening the fearless self that lives within each one of us.

So kick your shoes off...find a quiet zone for yourself to escape to for awhile and let me take you on a guided journey into your Fearless Self.

Here’s to reaching your goals in 2009!

Thanks for sharing this audio Diana. It really made me realize how much I run away from my fear instead of just sit with it so I can better understand it all. It really felt good to consider the possibility that there is a part of me that is fearless. Most the time I know it's there but it's hard for me to let it run the show. Know what I mean?

I've never done a meditation like this one before. I like how it gave me a lot to think about. I filled out the journal too and my commitment page is now hanging on my wall over my dresser. Thanks Diana. This was really cool to do!

Hi Cynthia,
I do know what you mean. It's easy to to swept away by our fears. But I see you are staying open to the possibilities your Fearless Self is capable of and I think that is awesome!

Jessica, I love your idea about putting your commitment page on the wall. Good for you!

It was really easy for me to see all the ways I'm fearful. But it was hard to imagine me being fearless. You kept asking questions in the audio that made me draw blanks. I was actually pretty frustrated by the time I was done.

Hi Carl,

Thank you for sharing about your experience. One of the hardest things to do is allow for the moments when we “draw blanks” and let it be okay that nothing comes to us in that moment. I think one of the greatest opportunities in this exercise is to practice being compassionate with ourselves when we don’t find an answer. And is it possible that the insights you did get from doing this were exactly what you really needed at this time?

It can be slow going to imagine our fearless self—much like strengthening weak muscles that haven’t been worked in awhile. And just like every weak muscle gets stronger and stronger the more we work it so will your relationship with your fearless self…I really believe that and have seen it happen time and time again.

If you feel game, try doing this meditation again—giving yourself just as much permission to “draw blanks” as you give yourself to get all the answers. It just might make a difference the second time around. I hope this helps. And thank you for your honesty…I’m pretty sure it was your fearless self who showed up to write this comment!

This was really great. Thankyou Diana!

I really like this process Diana! While I am quite aware of my fears - I rarely take the time to just observe them, which I found through this process, makes them feel less significant. Like others, I focus on my fears a lot more than on being fearless - so it will be great to have this audio to use over and over to create a new habit of focusing on and allowing my fearless self more free reign. I have used the audio numerous times and have had a different experience each time. It does feel like my ability to vision my fearless self has grown with each experience.

Hey Diana,
I just found your site through the Chronic Babes newsletter. Very nice. I look forward to reading more and thanks for the audios!

Thanks for your feedback Debby! And Bravo to you! I always find that I get something new out of my experience with a meditation everytime I go back to it to do it again too.

Welcome Jenn! It's great to have you hear. (((Smiles)))
